I took a break from doing work this morning to do face painting with Alexia. I’d been wanting to ever since I wasn’t able to during the Halloween event at SOS.
“What do you want to be?” I asked Alexia.
“A lion!” I was hoping she’d choose something a little more interesting.
“Want to look in the book? How about one of these?”
“Yes, I want these.” She’s easily persuaded.
“OK, pick your favorite.”
“I want a lion!"
“Why a lion?"
“It is my favorite animal.”
“Alright, well in that case I’ll paint you like a simba.”
“Yay!”
She wanted to paint my face like a lion too, telling me that she would need three colors, “black, white, and yellow”.
“What about orange?”
“And orange” she agreed. “Let me paint your eyebrows. More white, I need more white” she kept telling me.
“What about yellow?” My face was almost completely white at this point, well, whiter than usual.
“No, it needs white.”
“OK, whatever you want.”
